Blue Nail Polish on Pale Skin

Pale hands are where a nude can vanish completely — too close to your own color to register at all. Anything saturated, though, does all the work for you.

Start with Espresso blue shimmer (BP105) — cool, midnight navy, and it stands well clear of your skin. 29 of the 58 will read as a real contrast on your hand, and four will blend almost all the way in if that’s what you’re after. If you’d rather go lighter, Pale blue crème (BP75) is more of a sky blue.

Change the nail shape and length as you go — the same blue is a different manicure short and round than it is long and stiletto.
